No. The Nanocontrol technology is embedded in the UV Cured Ceramic Finish. The only way to eliminate the Nanocontrol Technology would be to wear through the finish of the product’s surface to the decor film.
Yes. Hallmark has a Screen and Coating process specifically for our Surface Guardian Finish that will remove light to moderate scratches and restore the luster of the floor back to its original state of when it was first installed.
Depending on the level of moisture in the slab, Hallmark recommends using either it’s Hallmark 1 Primer (up to 8 lbs CaCl) or Hallmark 2 Sealer (up to 25 lbs Ca Cl) in combination with Hallmark 3 Adhesive.
Regular vacuuming with a soft brush to remove grit and dirt followed by Hallmark’s Trueclean Cleaner with a Terricloth mop head.
Yes. Scrape up as much of the black mastic as possible so the slab is smooth. Use Hallmark 3 Adhesive and install your floor. Hallmark 3 adhesive has properties built into it to automatically encapsulate the black mastic and prevent plasticizer migration or adhesive failure if installed according to the installation instructions.
Hallmark 3 Adhesive must be used in the Wet Lay Method so a permanent bond exists between the Luxury Vinyl and the subfloor.
No. San Simeon can be installed directly over the subfloor. The reason for an underlayment would be for a soft walk under foot or sound abatement properties. Hallmark recommends the use of Eternity LVT Underlayment or equivalent.
Use Hallmark 1 Primer to consolidate the gypcrete allowing for a smooth surface to accept Hallmark 3 Adhesive.
No. Many adhesive removers contain solvents that would leave a residue on the surface of the subfloor. This residue can react negatively with the new adhesive and bleed through the new floor covering.
Kiln dried dimensional lumber, plywood, O.S.B., tongue and groove subfloors must be covered with kiln dried Baltic Birch underlayment plywood or equivalent. Please see installation instructions for specific details.
No. Any existing resilient flooring must be removed before any new flooring is installed.
If there is an issue with the floor, the material and the labor would be covered by Hallmark if deemed defective. If another manufacturers adhesive was used, Hallmark would only warrant the material for the project, not the labor.
Yes, you can float San Simeon over OSB with or without an LVT Underlayment.
No. San Simeon can be installed directly over its subfloor.

No. Hallmark LVT can only be installed in an acclimated environment.
Improper use of an adhesive (installing into a pressure sensitive adhesive wet), using the incorrect adhesive (adhesive not recommended for LVT), uneven subfloor and not acclimating Hallmark LVT can all cause end peaking.
First try TrueClean with a MicroFiber or Terry Cloth mop head. If that does not work, use TrueClean with a medium speed buffer and a white buffer pad. After buffing, clean the floor with TrueClean and a clean mop head.
No. On the Sealer Pail are mixing instructions for making smaller quantities if needed.
Yes and Acrylic grout has to be used.
If any of the Hallmark Adhesive System is used with another manufacturers products, the Hallmark Warranty will be void.
